The Sommelier Lounge is an exclusive space for AIS members. La Costruzione del Gusto has been dealing with its design for 10 years, proposing a different theme every year, always referable to the culture of wine and the table.
For the edition of Vinitaly 2018, La Costruzione del Gusto proposed the “Divine Tables” project, with the composition of two large walls for a total of 23 meters in length, with the selection of 55 of the most fascinating paintings in the history of European art of the ‘500 and’ 600.
Magnificent still life, enchanting details of laid tables and fascinating mythological scenes, among others, by Caravaggio, Giovan Battista Recco, Rembrandt, Pieter Paul Rubens and Nicolas Poussin, animate the two walls in a continuous reference between details, characters from well-known paintings and “open” scenes on the landscape.
The exhibition design and the historical-artistic research with the selection of the artworks is the work of the architect. Alessia Cipolla while the graphic design is by Simonluca Spadanuda. The supervision of the installation was carried out by the team of La Costructione del Gusto.
